After leaving Wall Street in order to Build Something Meaningful, and in search of greater hands-on entrepreneurial activities, Craig was determined to start a business where his unwavering work ethic would produce a meaningful difference for our Residents, employee Team Members, and our Investor-Partners.
Before founding Avid Realty Partners, Craig spent more than a decade as a highly acclaimed semiconductor equity research analyst at Smith Barney Citigroup and FBR Capital Markets where he serviced leading hedge and mutual fund clients, won multiple awards, and was one of CNBC’s go-to semiconductor market experts with over 75 TV appearances. Here, Craig had the opportunity to live and breathe the stock market daily, ride global economic cycles, perform deep dive analyses and underwrite companies’ financial results, study firms that were successful and those that were less successful, develop an institutional mindset, and learn to actively manage risk. Craig began his career at Intel Corporation in the Corporate Finance group where he helped upper management make optimal decisions to run the business, participated in the CPU monthly close and forecasting processes, and worked to maximize cash return metrics. At Intel, Craig garnered industry perspective and learned how large firms are run.
In his free time, Craig enjoys spending time with his wife Jessie and other family and friends, exercising in the gym, practicing yoga, eating at NYC’s many fine restaurants, cooking, seeing live music, making music, traveling, scuba diving, and occasionally playing golf.
As President, James’ responsibilities include overseeing asset & property management, corporate structure, portfolio strategy, and helping to build a best-in-class organization. James enjoys being “hands on” at Avid Realty Partners, and is involved in all of our overall corporate projects and efforts.
James has over 30 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, having held several senior management positions at investment companies, investment banks, and financial institutions. Here he has been responsible for asset & property management, development, financial analysis, investor relations, and portfolio strategy. It was through these experiences that James developed a deep understanding of how to effectively maximize property operations, anticipate and manage down cycles, formulate portfolio strategies, and meet investor reporting needs.
James believes that Avid Realty Partners’ recent growth trajectory is due to a strong emphasis on earning our Investor-Partners’ trust and delivering consistent results. His philosophy is that our firm’s success is driven by direct communication with each of our stakeholders (including our Investor-Partners), and an intense focus on maximizing cash flows for each property.
James holds a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Duke University and earned his Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University.
James and his wife have one son Blake, and live south of Salt Lake City, Utah. They enjoy Utah’s year-round mountain sports, biking, hiking and skiing.
As Chief Operating Officer, Jim’s responsibilities include overseeing Avid’s operations, capital raising, marketing efforts, IT implementation, and helping to build a best-in-class organization.
Jim brings 25 years of corporate experience working for diverse firms including a Fortune 500 company, a Private Equity firm and a Real Estate Investment group. Over the past 15 years, Jim has held senior management roles responsible for P&L, staffing and human resources, real estate, legal, capital raising, and investor relations, among others.
With a proven track record of overseeing high growth operations, Jim believes that expansion comes from surrounding yourself with passionate individuals that believe in a common goal. That goal is taking care of customers and investors by making connections that result in mutually beneficial relationships.
At Avid Realty Partners, Jim truly believes he has found a like-minded team that is ready to build on the tremendous successes the Firm has already achieved. This is a unique blend of keen analytics in underwriting, rigorous performance at the property level, and an unwavering integrity towards our Residents, Employee Team Members, and Investor-Partners.
Jim holds bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Business Administration from The State University of New York. He is a FINRA Registered Representative, and has his Series 63 and 22 Licenses.
Jim and his wife live in Boston with their two sons – Finn is significantly better than him at golf, while Liam skis circles around him every winter. Really though, he and Karen enjoy all outdoor activities and traveling as a family.
As Chief Financial Officer, Mary’s primary role is to oversee property and partnership accounting, corporate accounting & finance, human resources and risk management. She supports the Avid team by providing transformational leadership and team coaching.
Mary brings over 16 years of conventional and affordable multifamily experience including tax credit development projects. She has specialized in accounting and financial operations of construction, development, nonprofit and property management companies. Mary is an expert in creating and implementing SOPs and KPIs. In addition to her experience in the real estate field, Mary has provided consulting services to non-profit organizations including board development training, non-profit real estate development joint ventures, organizational structure and financial reporting.
Mary holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Ohio University. She is pursuing a doctoral degree from Liberty University in Strategic Leadership with an expected completion in 2023.
Mary and her husband have two sons, Mike and Jordan, and reside in Columbus, Ohio. She enjoys golfing with her husband, and is active in her local LPGA amateur league.

James believes that Avid Realty Partners’ recent growth trajectory is due to a strong emphasis on earning our Investor-Partners’ trust and delivering consistent results. His philosophy is that our firm’s success is driven by direct communication with each of our stakeholders (including our Investor-Partners), and an intense focus on maximizing cash flows for each property.
James holds a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Duke University and earned his Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University.
James and his wife have one son Blake, and live south of Salt Lake City, Utah. They enjoy Utah’s year-round mountain sports, biking, hiking and skiing.
As Chief Operating Officer, Jim’s responsibilities include overseeing Avid’s operations, capital raising, marketing efforts, IT implementation, and helping to build a best-in-class organization.
Jim brings 25 years of corporate experience working for diverse firms including a Fortune 500 company, a Private Equity firm and a Real Estate Investment group. Over the past 15 years, Jim has held senior management roles responsible for P&L, staffing and human resources, real estate, legal, capital raising, and investor relations, among others.
With a proven track record of overseeing high growth operations, Jim believes that expansion comes from surrounding yourself with passionate individuals that believe in a common goal. That goal is taking care of customers and investors by making connections that result in mutually beneficial relationships.

Jim holds bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Business Administration from The State University of New York. He is a FINRA Registered Representative, and has his Series 63 and 22 Licenses.
Jim and his wife live in Boston with their two sons – Finn is significantly better than him at golf, while Liam skis circles around him every winter. Really though, he and Karen enjoy all outdoor activities and traveling as a family.
As Chief Financial Officer, Mary’s primary role is to oversee property and partnership accounting, corporate accounting & finance, human resources and risk management. She supports the Avid team by providing transformational leadership and team coaching.
Mary brings over 16 years of conventional and affordable multifamily experience including tax credit development projects. She has specialized in accounting and financial operations of construction, development, nonprofit and property management companies. Mary is an expert in creating and implementing SOPs and KPIs. In addition to her experience in the real estate field, Mary has provided consulting services to non-profit organizations including board development training, non-profit real estate development joint ventures, organizational structure and financial reporting.
Mary holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Ohio University. She is pursuing a doctoral degree from Liberty University in Strategic Leadership with an expected completion in 2023.
Mary and her husband have two sons, Mike and Jordan, and reside in Columbus, Ohio. She enjoys golfing with her husband, and is active in her local LPGA amateur league.
